The EU Military Committee together with representatives from the European External Action Service, the European Commission and the European Defence Agency visited the European Air Transport Command on 27 January.
The main purpose of the visit was to get a concrete picture of a well functioning and convincing example of pooling and sharing.
The EATC is a multinational command exercising effective operational control over assigned transport and air to air refuelling assets and capabilities as well as a high level of authority over the force generation.
