Chairman EUMC's official visit to Albania

The Chairman of the European Union Military Committee, General Håkan Syrén, visited Tirana, upon invitation by the Chief of Defence (CHOD) of the Albanian Armed Forces, Major General Xhemal Gjunkshi.
During his visit Gen. Syrén met with the CHOD and his closest Staff and the Minister of Defence. He also had the opportunity to meet with the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Main topics of the discussions and exchange of views were the command, organization, transformation and participation of the Armed Forces of Albania in international operations and missions and also the relations with the EU in the military domain
