On 22 June 2017, in the margins of the European Council (Art. 50) meeting, leaders endorsed the procedural arrangements for the relocation of the EU agencies currently located in the UK.

The four steps procedure to decide the new locations of the European Medicines Agency and the European Banking Authority:
First step: Interested EU27 member states submit their offers. Deadline: 31 July 2017
Second step: The European Commission assesses the offers based on agreed criteria. Deadline: 30 September 2017
Third step: Political discussion at the Council of the EU based on the Commission's assessment. Deadline: October 2017
Fourth step: The EU 27 ministers vote and decide on the relocation. Deadline: November 2017
