Check the validity of document numbers

Checking the document number is an additional tool to confirm the validity or invalidity of a document. A decision based only on the information available via such a site can be inaccurate for a number of reasons, e.g. a loss/theft which has not yet been reported, slow updating, or other reasons.

The General Secretariat of the Council (GSC) has no control over the links to external sites. The GSC cannot assume any responsibility for the content of those sites. Some of the sites may be temporarily unavailable; they may be access restricted; they may for example only be available for the owner of the document, the number of which is to be checked; some sites may require the user to log on; using some sites may be subject to the payment of a fee.
