Charles Michel in Egypt to strengthen common fight against terrorism

In light of the recent terrorist attacks in France and Austria, President Michel is meeting with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to discuss the cooperation between the EU and Egypt:

Strengthening our common fight against terrorism and promoting dialogue and mutual understanding is the only answer to hatred and intolerance.

The visit follows a series of phone calls President Michel held on 4 November with the leaders of Bahrain, Abu Dhabi and Jordan to promote international cooperation, dialogue and understanding between communities and religions.
