Working Party on e-Justice
The Working Party on e-Justice is tasked with examining EU policies and initiatives related to the digitalisation of justice.
Role
The Working Party on e-Justice is responsible for examining proposals, policy initiatives and other measures concerning the use of digital tools and technologies in the field of justice. Its work covers legislative files, implementation issues and the development of digital solutions aimed at improving access to justice, cross-border judicial cooperation and the efficiency of judicial procedures.
The working party supports the Council's decision-making process by preparing discussions, coordinating member states' positions and contributing to the development and effective implementation of the EU framework for e-Justice.
The working party reports to the Justice and Home Affairs Council.
Composition and meetings
The Working Party on e-Justice is composed of national experts from EU member states. It meets regularly, depending on the legislative and policy agenda.
