Council and Parliament agree on digital declaration system for posted workers The Council and the European Parliament reached a provisional deal on the regulation to facilitate the e-declaration of posted workers. The regulation will reduce the administrative burden for businesses by fully digitalising the submission of posting declarations and for national authorities by facilitating the monitoring of the compliance with the posting of workers directive.
Council and Parliament agree on measures to protect workers from exposure to hazardous substances The EU Council and the European Parliament have reached a provisional agreement on the sixth revision of the carcinogens, mutagens and reprotoxic substances directive (CMRD), which updates the rules on exposure to hazardous substances in the workplace.
Strengthening the Strategic Partnership between the European Union and Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, paid an official visit to Brussels on 23 June 2026 and met with António Costa, President of the European Council and Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission. At the end of the meeting the leaders issued a joint press statement.
