China – reading references

EU China summit

The 21st EU-China summit took place on 9 April 2019. European Council President Tusk stated that the aim of the summit was to achieve a balanced relationship “which ensures fair competition and equal market access. In this context, we hope to persuade China to include industrial subsidies as a crucial element of the WTO reform."

The discussions focused on deepening the EU-China strategic partnership, bilateral trade and investment relations, the future of global governance, climate change, sustainable development and cybersecurity.

The Council Library has compiled a reading list relating to China and its relations with the EU. Alongside this, we recently published a special issue of the Think Tank Review focusing on China. You can also find papers from previous issues of the Think Tank Review in Eureka.

Enjoy your reading.
