Towards a 15% reduction in gas consumption

Here is an overview of the measures taken by the GSC to reduce energy consumption, not only in the offices but in all the Council buildings.

Offices in all GSC buildings

  • 20°C
    reduce temperature in winter
  • 27°C
    increase the start-up temperature (air‑conditioning system) in summer
  • +/‑3°C to +/-1°C
    reduce the margin of adjustment (thermostat settings)

Atrium of the Justus Lipsius building

  • AC off
    shutdown air-conditioning system in summer

  • 14°C
    adjust the temperature in winter
