A new fund to promote the cooperation of EU companies in the area of defence and enhance their innovation capacity.
What will it do?
1. Build a competitive, innovative and efficient European defence industry
2. Promote cross-border cooperation and create a more integrated defence market in the EU
3. Boost joint research and development of defence products and technologies
4. Contribute to the EU's strategic autonomy
- January 2021 to December 2027 - €7.9 billion
- Development actions - €5.3 billion
- Research - €2.6 billion
- 4%-8% of the funds will go to disruptive technologies and innovative equipment
