The decision on the seat of the European Cybersecurity Industrial, Technology and Research Competence Centre requires common agreement by the member states.
Steps in selecting the new seat:
- 6 November 2020: Interested member states submit their applications
- 11 November 2020: Publication of the applications on the Council's website
- 2 December 2020: Deadline for the European Commission's assessment
- 9 December 2020: Political discussion based on the Commission's assessment
- 9 December 2020: Representatives of the member states vote on the seat
