Humanitarian assistance
The EU and its member states seek to save lives and alleviate human suffering caused by conflicts, natural disasters and other crisis situations. The leaflet presents major facts about humanitarian assistance provided by the EU countries, with special focus on Syrian war refugees and Ebola sufferers. The brochure also explains the humanitarian principles on which the assistance is based, as well as the role of the Council Working Party on Humanitarian Aid and Food Aid.
