The book's target is to do away with the scaremongering about Islam in France. The author claims there is not a single Islam, but several of them according to various schools of thought, and that the values of the French state and some of the schools of Islam are not compatible, suggesting what could be done in order to find harmony and build a fruitful dialogue.
