Financial assistance
€350 million immediately available to support in particular:
- infrastructure for health & security screening
- reception capacity
- voluntary returns
€350 million to be proposed as amendment to EU's 2020 budget.
Frontex support
- Rapid border interventions, providing assets such as helicopters, boats and border guards
- 608 operational staff from EU member states
European Asylum Support Office (EASO)
- 160 asylum experts accelerated deployment in Greece
EU Civil Protection Mechanism
More than 70 000 items of assistance mobilised, including:
- electric generators
- medical equipment
- sanitation
- shelters, blankets
