About the Eastern partnership

  • Established in 2009 to strengthen links between the EU and its six Eastern neighbours
  • Encourages regional cooperation and tailor-made bilateral cooperation between the EU and each partner country

  • Boosts trade exchanges: trade between the EU and eastern partners exceeded €65 billion in 2020 (+22% in 10 years)
