Working in Virtual Teams - reading references

The coronavirus pandemic has forced organisations around the world to work a little differently.  Working in virtual teams and teleworking is now the 'new normal' for many.

This can be quite a big shift from the daily routine - how does teleworking work, what are the rules/ etiquette and how do you cope mentally, physically and emotionally in this new virtual environment?

To help allay some of these fears the Council Library has produced a reading list consisting of e-books, articles, book summaries and videos. They range from two-minutes' reading, listening or viewing time to more immersive material that can be accessed via the Council Library's online catalogue, Eureka. It contains information for staff as well as managers on how to organise this new virtual workplace.

Please note, access to some of the resources may be limited to Council staff or subscribers. Non-Council readers can browse Eureka and access the open access resources.

Teleworking can be a stressful experience for some colleagues. Remember to be empathetic with co-workers, as well as focused and goal-orientated.

Keep healthy and stay informed!

This reading list does not necessarily represent the positions, policies, or opinions of the Council of the European Union or the European Council.

The Council library reading room is currently closed. The Info Desk remains open on-line and will reply to queries by email Monday to Friday, from 10.00 to 16.00.
