Access to Council Library services and resources
We hope you had a nice summer break and found a moment to catch up on some reading with our Readers of Europe list.
Following the latest Covid-19 pandemic developments, we would like to provide you with an update about access to the library services and resources.
The Council Library continues providing its online services and you can send your enquiries and requests by email. Our online catalogue, Eureka, is freely accessible on the internet through any search engine or via the library webpage.
Our reading room will remain accessible to Council staff and EU member state delegates by appointment. You can contact the duty librarian to fix the details by sending an email. Much to our regret, we are not yet able to open the doors of our reading room to external visitors.
Our online resources – digital newspapers, e-journals, e-books and online databases – are fully accessible, including in the teleworking environment.
The monthly Think Tank Review and the regularly updated post on "Think tanks' reports on Covid-19 and the recovery fund" are available on the Library blog.
Here is a reminder to our registered users about how to use the resources from our print collections:
If you wish to borrow a book from the Council Library, you can either send us an email or sign in to our Eureka catalogue and:
- request 'Personal Delivery - My Office' and have the book delivered to your office by internal mail, or
- request pick-up from the library and fix an appointment with the duty librarian.
If you wish to return a book to the Council Library, you can either:
- drop it in the locked box outside the reading room entrance, or
- send it back by internal mail to: Council Library, JL 02-40-GH-52.
Returned books are quarantined for three days before we send them out on loan again.
If you have any questions about the Council Library services, please do not hesitate to contact us.
