EU-Japan relations - Reading references

On the occasion of the EU-Japan leaders' video conference meeting on 26 May 2020, the Council Library has compiled a reading list on relations between the European Union and Japan. The list includes research papers, articles and EU publications. Some of the suggested resources are available in open access.

The EU-Japan leaders' meeting is taking place via video conference. The EU will be represented by Charles Michel, President of the European Council, and by Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission. Japan will be represented by Prime Minister Shinzō Abe. On the agenda are matters concerning the COVID-19 pandemic as well as issues related to the EU-Japan Strategic Partnership.
