The blog is used to disseminate the bibliographical and research products of the Council Library. It is also used to engage with a wider audience and share new or topical information and research related to EU policies.

New legislative elections will be held in Spain on 26 June 2016. Early May, King Felipe VI of Spain signed a decree to dissolve the Parliament and hold a rerun of national elections.

Representatives of the European Documentation Centres (EDCs) from the Member States made their way to Brussels for a training seminar on 2 and 3 June 2016 which the EDCs with practical input for their work on the ground.

During the Library team's trip to London, visits to several bookshops gave an overview of what was being published on the EU referendum. One predictable result was to confirm that a spate of new books have been published on Britain's relationship with the EU.

During our trip to London, the Library team visited the Senate House Library, which is the central Library of the University of London and the School of Advanced Study. Its collections support academic research across 14 main subject areas in the arts, humanities and social sciences, and it is also home to unique special collections, rare books and archives.
