Registration document for vehicles. Part II of the registration certificate.

The registration certificate is made up of two parts containing data on the vehicle and on the owner in accordance with the requirements of Council Directive 1999/37/EC of 29 April 1999 on the registration documents for vehicles (OJ L 138/57 of 1 June 1999) and Commission Directive 2003/127/EU of 23 December 2003 amending Council Directive 1999/37/EC on the registration documents for vehicles (OJ L 010/29 of 16 January 2004). The first part of the registration certificate serves to identify the vehicle and, where required, is carried by the driver of the vehicle when using the vehicle. It certifies the right of the owner to dispose of the vehicle. The second part of the registration certificate serves to identify the vehicle when used on the road and is always carried by the driver when using the vehicle. The second part of the registration certificate contains data from the first part which are required in road checks. When registering a vehicle, or amending a registration, any missing technical data on vehicles manufactured before 1999 and which cannot be established are not entered on the registration certificate.
