Local border traffic permit. This document is issued to nationals of Ukraine residing in the border zone on the basis of an agreement on local cross-border movement between Poland and Ukraine, and to nationals of Russia residing in the border zone on the basis of an agreement on local cross-border movement between Poland and the Russian Federation. The border zone is comprised of the administrative units located – in principle – within 30 km of the border (plus the Kaliningrad Oblast in the case of the Russian Federation). Holders may stay no longer than 90 days in Poland in any six-month period. This document does not entitle holders to move beyond the border zone; any violation of the rules on local cross-border movement is subject to the penalties provided for in national law.
