Think Tank Review - September 2020

EU Budget 2021

The Think Tank reports focus on the European Council July agreement for the Next Generation EU recovery plan and the 2021-2027 European budget, testifying to the collective and internal solidarity of all member states. The papers discuss the corona crisis as a challenge in the euro area, the financial fragility of European households in Covid-19 times and how to promote the EU’s international leadership in health. Debt mutualisation, a green, competitive and resilient EU economy, the EU’s digital sovereignty and the modernisation of EU trade defence instruments are also discussed in this issue.
