Statement by the High Representative on behalf of the EU on the alignment of certain countries concerning restrictive measures in view of activities undermining the stability and political transition of Sudan

On 22 September 2025, the Council adopted Council Decision (CFSP) 2025/19321.

The Council Decision extended the application of the existing restrictive measures until 10 October 2026.

Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Moldova (Republic of), Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia and Ukraine align themselves with this Council Decision.

They will ensure that their national policies conform to this Council Decision.

The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.
