The validity of a diplomatic card may not exceed that of the holder's passport.
The card is not issued to children under the age of 7 or to diplomats on a mission shorter than 6 months. The diplomatic card cannot be used as a travel document.
Recto - identity
The recto side contains the following data: title of card, name of foreign diplomatic representation, last name ("Perekonnanimi"), first name ("Eesnimi"), date of birth ("Sünniaeg"), occupation ("Amet"), signature ("Allkiri") and card serial number ("Kaardi nr").
Verso
The verso page contains the following data: issuing authority ("Välja andnud"), date of issue ("Kehtib alates") and date of expiry ("Kehtib kuni"). At the top is a text concerning diplomatic immunity and privileges.
