Ministers held an extraordinary Council to discuss the latest developments regarding the situation in Ukraine.
Russia must cease its military operations immediately, and unconditionally withdraw from the entire territory of Ukraine. President Putin intended to divide us, but he achieved the exact opposite: we are more united and more determined than ever before and Russia is completely isolated.

Ministers called for a humanitarian corridor and highlighted the need to further support EU frontline member states hosting the majority of those fleeing the war. They also agreed to step up work on the humanitarian front.
Ministers agreed to further reduce the EU's energy dependency from Russia. Regarding the strong restrictive measures recently adopted, focus is currently on ensuring their full implementation and closing any possible loopholes.
EU foreign affairs ministers held an informal exchange with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, who joined via video conference and provided an overview of the latest developments on the ground, the urgent needs of Ukraine and the atrocities committed by the Russian forces.
