New books added to the Library collection - December 2018
The end-of-year break is almost here! Before leaving on holidays, take a look at the list of new books from the Council Library. It's an ideal time to catch up with some reading and e-books won't take much space in your luggage.
For e-books you just need to make sure that you have got an account on the Council Library e-book platform (access restricted to registered library users) and you can read the e-books you have got on loan wherever you are. Our quick guide will help you get started. It's easy.

The future of Europe : views from the capitals
The book is a contribution to the debate about Europe in all capitals of EU member states because "this is where its future will be decided". The future of Europe is not only about bridging the dividing policy lines but also about regaining trust and support for the European integration process.
EU climate diplomacy : politics, law and negotiations
Leading practitioners and researchers in the field take stock of the EU’s current role and emerging issues in climate diplomacy. Contributions are grouped into three strands: 1) the interplay between EU climate diplomacy and internal EU politics; 2) how the EU’s legal order is a factor that determines, enables and constrains its climate diplomacy; and 3) the EU’s contribution to diplomacy concerning climate technology both under the Climate Convention. Collectively, these contributions outline the EU’s role at a critical time of transition and uncertainty in the international response to climate change.
Triangular diplomacy among the United States, the European Union, and the Russian Federation
The conflict in eastern Ukraine represent the greatest security challenge to western Europe since the end of the Cold War. The book explores the interactions between the US, the EU and Russia. One of the aims of the authors is to compare EU policy choices and policy effectiveness in response to the Ukraine crisis with those of the US.
